Prevention – Working with Young People & Families in their homes

Stepdown recognises the significant value in supporting the needs of young people and their families at the earliest point.

Stepdown will provide tailored levels of support to young people at home with their families with a view to maintaining young people and families together ,where possible, and prevent breakdown.

Stepdown staff will provide:

  • Individual programmes of support to young people
  • Support to parents and families including parenting and family support programmes.

Support to Young People with Carers and in Care Settings

Stepdown will work with young people living with Carers or in other care settings where additional support might maintain the placement, prevent breakdown and support progress.

These levels of support can be tailored to meet the needs of young people and their carers. Stepdown Support will be targeted on agreed needs and delivered at the most appropriate times to ensure best outcomes.

Levels of Support & 24 Hour Helpline

Stepdown will provide detailed plans of support including targets, outcomes and reducing levels of support as targets are achieved.

Stepdown can offer 24 hour helpline for young people and families as appropriate and crisis response.
